Single computer-based exam: 125 scored + 10 pretest multiple-choice items in ten weighted sections - Life: types of policies (15), riders/provisions/options/exclusions (15), application/underwriting/policy delivery (12), retirement and other concepts (8); Accident and Sickness: types of policies (16), provisions/clauses/riders (15), social insurance (6), other insurance concepts (5), field underwriting procedures (8); Georgia laws, rules and regulations for life, accident and sickness (19), plus Georgia rules specific to life-only and to accident-and-sickness-only
Where rules vary
Georgia resident insurance producer licensing examination covering the Life and Accident and Sickness lines of authority (Georgia’s name for health insurance).
Eligibility
For licensure: state-approved prelicensing education (standalone Life or Accident and Sickness course, or the combined Life, Accident and Sickness course), license application via Sircon with $120 license fee, electronic fingerprints, and notarized Citizenship Affidavit. Prelicensing course and exam may be waived for CLU/FLMI designees or holders of an active same-lines license in a prior home state who apply within 90 days of relocating.
Retake policy
A new exam may be scheduled within one day of a failed attempt, but retests require a 14-day wait after attempts one and two and 60 days after the third and subsequent attempts; no limit on attempts
