Two separately scored multiple-choice exams taken in one combined session: the Life Agent exam and the Accident and Health Agent exam. Each exam pairs a general-knowledge section (50 scored questions on products, terms, and concepts) with a Tennessee-specific section (18 scored questions on state laws, rules, and regulations unique to Tennessee)
Tennessee resident producer licensing examination for the Life and Accident & Health lines of authority; Pearson VUE electronically submits scores to TDCI for licensure.
Applicant must be at least 18 years old and a Tennessee resident (resident license); no prelicensing education course is required for the Life or Accident & Health lines (a 30-hour course is required only for Title); fingerprint-based background check required after passing
Wait 10 days after a first failed attempt and 30 days after each subsequent attempt; all candidates must wait 24 hours before making a retake reservation; limited to 2 OnVUE attempts per exam line, with additional attempts at a test center; a new exam fee applies each attempt
