The Life, Accident and Health or Sickness Insurance Producer Exam (Series 13-33) is Arizona's combined insurance producer licensing exam covering the Life and the Accident & Health (or Sickness) lines of authority. It is owned by the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions (DIFI) and administered by its official vendor PSI Services LLC: a 150-item, 2.5-hour computer-based exam (plus 5-10 unscored experimental items) with a 70% passing standard, offered at PSI Arizona test centers or by remote online proctoring for a USD 59 examination fee.

Where rules vary
Arizona insurance producer licensing examination; passing the combined Series 13-33 exam covers the Life and the Accident & Health (or Sickness) lines of authority. Required of Arizona residents and of those relocating from a state where they did not hold that license; waived for non-residents licensed in their home state and for certain limited lines. It is unlawful to take an exam for a line of authority you already hold an Arizona license for (A.R.S. § 20-284(G)).
Eligibility
No prelicensing education requirement is imposed by the state; candidates must be license applicants — PSI is instructed to refuse the exam to anyone who is not an applicant, and it is unlawful to take an exam for a line of authority already held (A.R.S. § 20-284(G)). Fingerprints (Fieldprint $8.25 + FBI/DPS $22.44) are part of the license application, not the exam
Retake policy
Maximum of 4 attempts to pass an exam in a 12-month period (A.R.S. § 20-284(H)); after the fourth unsuccessful attempt the candidate waits one year before retaking; failing an exam that covers more than one line of authority counts as a failure for each individual line; a new fee is paid each attempt
