Wisconsin Real Estate Salesperson Exam
The Wisconsin Real Estate Salesperson Exam is the state licensing examination a candidate must pass (scaled score 75 of 100) to obtain a Wisconsin real estate salesperson license: a 140-scored-item multiple-choice computer-based exam (plus 5-10 unscored pretest items) with 4 hours allowed, developed and administered by Pearson VUE under contract with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services for a USD 65 fee at Pearson VUE test centers.

One 140-scored-item multiple-choice exam across ten content sections per the official Salesperson Content Outline: Ownership and Transfer of Property (14 items); Land Use Controls and Regulations (5); Valuing and Financing Property; Calculations (20); Agency (32); Disclosures (13); Contract Law and Approved Forms (22); Business Ethics (14); Fair Housing (6); Federal Anti-Trust Law (2); Miscellaneous (12); some questions include narratives (scenario situations) and/or WB forms
Where rules vary
Wisconsin state real estate licensing exam; content references are to Wisconsin Statutes chapter numbers (e.g., Ch. 452) and the Rules of the Department of Safety and Professional Services (e.g., REEB 16) per the official content outline. The exam is delivered at Pearson test centers throughout the United States and U.S. territories, but the credential and exam identity are Wisconsin-specific.
Eligibility
Completion of a DSPS-approved salesperson pre-licensing education course (72-hour course, or 13-hour course for candidates who hold a current out-of-state salesperson's license); education must have been completed within four years of the license application
Retake policy
A failed exam may be retaken; the candidate must wait 24 hours before making a reservation to retake and must have the failing score report available when scheduling; full exam fee applies again
