Mississippi Real Estate Salesperson Examination
The Mississippi real estate salesperson examination is the written licensure exam required by Miss. Code § 73-35-7 for a resident salesperson license. After the Mississippi Real Estate Commission approves an application, PSI administers the national and state portions under contract with the commission. The current PSI Candidate Information Bulletin publishes the item counts, testing times, passing requirements, fee, and scheduling rules.

Where rules vary
Mississippi state licensure examination required for a resident real estate salesperson license under the Mississippi Real Estate Brokers License Law of 1954 (Miss. Code Title 73, Chapter 35); the resident applicant must be 'a bona fide resident of the State of Mississippi prior to filing his application', with separate provisions for nonresident licensees.
Eligibility
For a resident salesperson license the applicant must be at least 18 years old, be a bona fide resident of Mississippi before filing the application, successfully complete a minimum of 60 hours of real estate courses from an MREC-approved provider, pass the real estate salesperson's examination, and be cleared by the Commission's background investigation; the MREC Applicants page additionally links the required pre-license provider list and study guides
Retake policy
An applicant who fails the examination may take the next or succeeding examination without paying an additional application fee to the Commission (Miss. Code § 73-35-17); where a contract testing service is used, the per-attempt test administration fee is collected by the testing provider (PSI), separate from the Commission's application fee (which statute caps at USD 100 for a salesperson application). Per-attempt retake waiting periods and limits are published only in the PDF bulletin.
