PNP Entrance Examination

The PNP Entrance Examination (PNPEE) is the eligibility examination conducted by the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) of the Philippines for entry into the Philippine National Police: it is open to Filipino citizens who meet the age and educational requirements and to Patrolmen/Patrolwomen with temporary appointments, and passing confers the PNP Entrance eligibility appropriate for appointment to the rank of Patrolman/Patrolwoman under Sec. 30 of Republic Act No. 6975, as amended by Republic Act No. 8551. It is administered nationwide twice a year through NAPOLCOM's regional offices, with a Computer-Assisted Examination (CAEx) mode also conducted at the NAPOLCOM Central Office.

Four subject areas: General Information (Philippine Constitution and History; PNP Law and History; Criminal Justice System; Current Events; Social Awareness and Value Judgment), Verbal Reasoning (Vocabulary, Comprehension, Grammar), Quantitative Reasoning (Basic Concepts, Problem-Solving Skills), and Logical Reasoning (Verbal, Non-Verbal); no item counts or weightings are published

Eligibility

Open to all Filipino citizens meeting the minimum qualification standards — civilians: not more than 30 years old with a Bachelor's Degree; Patrolman/Patrolwoman (including those with temporary appointments for lack of appropriate eligibility): no age limit, Bachelor's Degree required. Height requirements apply (waivable to 1.57 m male / 1.52 m female, with lower minimums for members of indigenous groups). Filing requires OLEASS-scheduled appointment, application form and index card, photos, stamped window envelope, CHED-SO transcript and diploma, and PSA birth certificate.
