A single 50-question written knowledge test on the New Jersey Driver Manual content (New Jersey motor vehicle and traffic laws, safe driving practices, road signs), plus one organ-donation survey question; delivered as a written test in 13 languages, or as an oral test with headphones (English and Spanish); a vision screening (20/50 for basic license applicants) is required at the same visit but is a separate test
