The Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks regulates the sale, storage, use, transportation and disposal of pesticides in Ontario under the Pesticides Act and O. Reg. 63/09, and issues Pesticide Exterminator Licences; exterminator certification requires a ministry-approved home study course and a certification exam administered by its approved program, Ontario Pesticide Training and Certification (OPT&C) at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus.
