The PMA Entrance Examination (PMAEE) is the free, nationwide written entrance examination administered by the Philippine Military Academy through its Office of Cadet Recruitment and Admission as the first phase of cadet selection, measuring mental ability in Mathematics, English, and abstract reasoning (SPMA).

Exam structure
One written multiple-choice examination (five answer choices per item, machine-scored answer sheet) covering three areas: Mathematics (Algebra and Geometry), English (Grammar, Composition, and Reading and Comprehension), and SPMA abstract reasoning (Verbal and Numerical Reasoning and Pattern Analysis)

National examination administered across the Philippines in regional cluster legs at 48 testing centers nationwide; eligibility is limited to natural-born or naturalized Filipino citizens.
Eligibility
Natural-born or naturalized Filipino citizen; unmarried, not pregnant, no parental support obligation; at least a Grade 12 graduate with a general average of 85% or higher; no administrative or criminal case; barefoot height 5'0"–6'4"; at least 17 and not older than 22 on admission day; physically fit

No limit on the number of attempts, provided the applicant still meets the qualifications
