Exam AI-901: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals is Microsoft's Fundamentals-level certification exam assessing foundational AI concepts — responsible AI principles, AI model components and configurations, and common AI workloads including generative and agentic AI — plus the ability to implement AI solutions by using Microsoft Foundry; it replaced the retired AI-900 exam (June 30, 2026) as the sole required exam for the Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals certification.
