Junos, Associate (JNCIA-Junos)
JNCIA-Junos is the associate-level written exam of the Juniper (now HPE Networking, formerly Juniper Networks) certification program, verifying core understanding of the Junos OS. The current exam, code JN0-106 (aligned to Junos OS 21.2), is 65 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, delivered by Pearson VUE at test centers or via OnVUE online proctoring, in English only, with a USD 200 registration fee (plus applicable taxes) and no prerequisite certification. Objectives span seven domains: Networking Fundamentals; Junos OS Fundamentals; User Interfaces; Configuration Basics; Operational Monitoring and Maintenance; Routing Fundamentals; Routing Policy and Firewall Filters. Passing scores are set statistically per exam and are not published; pass/fail status is available immediately after the exam, and certifications are valid for three years.

Eligibility
None — no prerequisite certification; recommended (not required) training: Networking Technology Foundations and Introduction to the Junos Operating System
Retake policy
After a first failed attempt the exam can be retaken at any time; after a second or subsequent failure a 14-calendar-day wait applies (starting the day after the second failed attempt); once passed, at least 18 months must pass before retaking (generally for recertification)
