Florida Laws and Rules Examination (Physical Therapy Jurisprudence Exam)

Where rules vary
Florida state licensure examination: the laws-and-rules exam required of all Florida PT and PTA licensure applicants, testing Florida statutes (Chapters 456 and 486, F.S.) and the Florida Administrative Code (Rule Chapter 64B17); a single uniform exam statewide, developed and administered for the Florida board by FSBPT.
Eligibility
A Florida PT or PTA licensure application must be on file and approved (scheduling information is sent only after application approval), and the candidate must register online with FSBPT for the Florida Laws & Rules exam when submitting the Florida application; the exam is required of all licensure applicants and is also available to current licensees for continuing competence credit
Retake policy
FSBPT applies the same policies and procedures to the jurisprudence exam as to the NPTE — under the NPTE retake policy a candidate may take an examination a maximum of three times in any 12-month period and must wait until the next available scheduled test date (retake policies vary by jurisdiction); the Florida board charges no fee for the Laws and Rules Retake Application, which can be faxed or emailed
