One 150-item multiple-choice CBT covering four areas: Fundamentals; Adult Nursing; Maternal–Child Nursing; and Unit Management & Leadership (the Assistant Nurse title has a separately coded CBT, ARN5061, with the same 3-hour/150-question/USD 240/50% parameters and the same coverage)
Licensing assessment of the Dubai Health Authority, required to practice the profession in the Emirate of Dubai; the exam itself is uniform and delivered worldwide at Prometric test centers (the credential, not the exam, is Dubai-specific)
Self-assessment against the Unified Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR), Primary Source Verification by Dataflow, and a DHA Unique ID plus CBT eligibility ID before scheduling; nurses meeting the PQR exemption criteria may be exempted from the exam
Up to three attempts; no time restriction between attempts; failing the third attempt blocks reapplication for a DHA license for two years (a fourth attempt possible in limited cases); cancellation or no-show is not counted as a failed attempt but forfeits the fee
