The naval service branch of the U.S. Department of Defense. The Navy uses the Navy Advanced Programs Test (NAPT) as a supplementary aptitude test for potential Nuclear Field (NF) Program enlistment applicants who do not qualify for nuclear field ratings on ASVAB line scores alone; the governing criteria are set in the Navy Recruiting Manual (COMNAVCRUITCOMINST 1130.8, Enlisted series) and the NAPT score requirements for nuclear ratings are published by Navy Personnel Command (MyNavyHR).
