The Japan Foundation

Japan's principal institution for international cultural exchange (Kokusai Koryu Kikin, an Independent Administrative Institution), which jointly administers the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) with Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES): within Japan the test is run by JEES, and outside Japan the Japan Foundation administers it through local host institutions at overseas test site cities listed on the official JLPT website.
