The national certification body that develops and administers the Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), Advanced Lactation Consultant (ALC), and Advanced Neonatal Lactation Consultant (ANLC) examinations. ALPP is a non-profit founded in 1999 as a division of Healthy Children Project, Inc., and its certification program is accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) under ISO/IEC 17024. The CLC examination is delivered online with remote proctoring.
