130 four-option multiple-choice items (100 scored, 30 unscored beta) drawn from three content areas based on the 2024 SOCRA Job/Task Analysis: Research Study Start-Up (~40 questions), Research Study Implementation (~50 questions), Research Study Closure (~10 questions)

Where rules vary

The CCRP is an internationally recognized certification open to qualified candidates worldwide; SOCRA's Fairness in Testing policy 'applies to all applicants and candidates worldwide seeking certification through SOCRA'.

Eligibility

Eligibility by experience/education category, e.g. Category 1: two years of full-time experience as a clinical research professional (or 3,500 part-time hours) within the last five years, working under Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines with IRB/IEC/REB-approved (or specifically exempted) protocols

Retake policy

15-day waiting period before retesting; after three failed attempts, proof of 6 hours of GCP education/training is required before the 4th attempt; retest fee USD 275 plus USD 115 testing fee (North America) or USD 175 (outside North America)
