Exam structure
Two sections of 115 single-best-answer multiple-choice questions (230 total); blueprint assesses performance across two broad categories — Dimensions of care and Physician activities — each with four domains carrying specific content weightings
Where rules vary
Canada's national qualifying exam: it is "the national standard for medical schools across Canada", and a pass result is required for the Licentiate of the MCC, which regulators may require to apply for a medical licence in their province or territory. The exam is physically delivered in Canada and over 70 other countries, but its identity and standard apply nationally to Canada.
