Globally delivered professional certification exam at Prometric Test Centers worldwide; IMA maintains separate purchase pages for mainland China, Taiwan (China), and Japan, but the Part 1 exam specification is the same worldwide (only the delivery language and testing windows differ).

Eligibility

Active IMA membership and a paid CMA entrance fee (USD 300) are required to register for an exam part; the bachelor's degree and two continuous years of professional experience are requirements for the CMA credential, not to sit for the exam (experience may be completed within seven years of passing)

Retake policy

Retakes require purchasing a new exam registration. Appointments cannot be rescheduled to another testing window; Prometric charges USD 70 to reschedule or cancel 5–45 days before the appointment, and cancelling less than 5 days before forfeits the exam fee
